What you'll experience:

• Departure from Cusco: We start by picking you up at your hotel between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., on a fully flexible schedule.
• Traditional textile demonstration: Our first stop is a textile center to learn about natural Andean spinning and enjoy a complimentary cup of muña tea from local artisans.
• Pisac Archaeological Complex: We'll travel to the spectacular site of Pisac, perched high on a mountain. We'll explore its residential and religious sectors, famous for some of the region's grandest and most advanced agricultural terraces.
• Premium buffet lunch in Urubamba: At midday, we'll stop at a selected tourist restaurant in the heart of the Sacred Valley (Urubamba). You'll enjoy a full buffet lunch featuring the best of Peruvian and local cuisine in a warm, welcoming setting. (Lunch is included in the schedule; food cost is separate, according to the selected base rate.)
• Ollantaytambo Fortress: We'll continue to the imposing "living Inca town." We'll walk its original streets and climb its striking fortress to marvel at its megalithic architecture and its historic significance as a site of resistance.
• Chinchero Archaeological Site: We'll close the afternoon visiting the terraces of Chinchero, and see how Inca walls today serve as the foundation for its beautiful colonial church.
• Personalized drop-off: We'll take you back to your hotel in Cusco. If you'd like to optimize your trip to Machu Picchu, we can end the tour by dropping you at your hotel in the Sacred Valley or at the train station for a supplement of $45 USD.
